Logan City Council is one of the largest local governments in Australia, with approximately 1,700 staff providing valued community services and facilities to almost 314,000 residents representing more than 215 different cultures.
Council has a unique opportunity for a strategic and transformational leader to:
Lead the execution of business strategies and plans which deliver superior community services and related outcomes covering areas such as:
o Recreation, including parks, green spaces, sporting and leisure facilities;
o Libraries and creative industries (including an art gallery);
o Community-based initiatives to create connected, healthy, active and safe communities in Logan;
o Animal and pest related programs and services and community amenity services ; and
o Community-facing customer services.
Set a clear, strategic vision for community services for the City of Logan and Logan City Council in collaboration with the Mayor, Councillors and Executive Leadership Team and in line with Council’s Corporate Plan and associated priorities.
Proactively and professionally lead and participate as a member of Council's Executive Leadership Team (ELT comprising the CEO and Directors), and the Collective Membership Team (ELT and branch managers).
We are looking for a proactive leader with a proven track record of success in inspiring, building and sustaining a “Values” based culture built on accountability and performance.
You will have extensive and demonstrable success in leading comprehensive strategic planning and business planning processes, including integrated lead and lag key performance indicators, which have delivered superior community services outcomes for all stakeholders.
In addition, you will have significant experience in advocating for, creating, utilising and sustaining strategic partnerships, alliances and networks in delivering outstanding community services performance and outcomes for key stakeholders.
