The Queensland Parliamentary Service plays an integral role in providing multi-faceted support and advice to Members of Parliament. The specific focus of the Marketing and Communications team is to ensure all aspects of communications and marketing strategies are delivered with the highest standards of quality and efficiency to Members, staff and associated stakeholders.
In this exciting newly created role, you will focus on developing communication and marketing strategies ensuring high quality digital design and communication services are delivered in line with the Parliamentary Service objectives.
Accordingly, supporting the strategic direction you will develop and manage the Parliament's website content, social media platforms and marketing of the Parliament's offerings including seminars, functions and other catering services.
You will be impartial and non-partisan but at the same time politically astute while maintaining a strong network within the media and wider community to influence and drive positive media outcomes. The ability to develop strong relationships with relevant media outlets, while engaging with internal and external stakeholders will be critical to the success of this role, employing diplomacy and tact in often complex and challenging situations.
Your skills and experience must reflect the latest in media technology and engagement platforms, so ideally you will have recent exposure within a Corporate or complex hierarchical environment and have established relationships with strong strategic capability.
In addition, you will have demonstrated leadership skills as you will be leading a small team where you will be required to mentor and develop capacity within. A firm commitment to customer service and innovation- driven behaviours will also be required.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, digital or media related fields - or equivalent experience, is essential.
