As General Counsel, you will be the key point of reference for informed advice and guidance across all legal issues, with specific emphasis on property management, planning, employment law and financial services. Initially, you will focus on the development of Council's overarching legal framework to deliver effective legal support and services across the entire organisation. Ongoing responsibilities will include risk and civil mitigation, managing external legal services, existing and proposed contract analysis, and ensuring 100% legislative compliance.
Tertiary qualified in Law and eligible for admission as a Solicitor/Barrister to the Supreme Court of NSW, you will have extensive experience across a broad range of legal areas, exceptional negotiation and communication skills, and the confidence and credibility to influence key policy and matters of law at the highest levels.
