We are seeking qualified disability support workers who are have specific experience in working with people with intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health. The successful candidate will need to be reliable, caring and compassionate and flexible to work with a wide range of people with disabilities.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be required to assist people to remain living independently in their home by assisting them with:
Suitable Applicants MUST have:
Minimum 6 months experience in a disability support worker role or in a similar position (essential)
Certificate III in Individual Supports; Disability Cert IV or equivalent (essential)
Current relevant State's Probity Checks (essential)
Current National Police Clearance
Valid Working With Children's Check
Current First Aid Certificate incl. CPR (essential)
Current Manual Handling Certificate (essential)
Valid Driver's Licence (essential)
Fully insured vehicle (to be used for work purposes)
Effective communication, comprehension and interpersonal skills
Sound and effective time management skills
Possess a high level of trust, honest and integrity and be able to maintain a professional relationship with all participants
