If so, please read on. This may be just the opportunity you have been looking for!
McArthur have been engaged by our client, a reputable private NDIS Support Coordination provider, to recruit a Support Coordinator to work in the Southern and Bayside regions of Melbourne.
The role of the NDIS Support Coordinator is to assist participants in implementing their NDIS funded plan. Utilising your knowledge of NDIS legislation and local service providers, you will undertake preplanning and support coordination with participants, taking a strengths-based and person-centred approach. This role is ideally undertaken 4 days per week, with 3 days from home and 1 day in the office working alongside management and others in your team.
This service is already well established in the Bayside and Outer Eastern Melbourne regions and is expanding into the south due to demand for their services in this area.
The model this service works under is that NDIS Support Coordinators live in the NDIS area that they service and work from home 3 days per week and from a shared office space 1 day per week. This model allows you the flexibility to plan your day around your own and the participants availability.
Weekly team meetings and working from a shared office space once a week (or more if you prefer) builds team camaraderie and on the other days, management support is only a phone call away.
Because this position is servicing participants living in the NDIS Southern region we are looking for candidates who live in the Bayside or Southern Regions of Melbourne - Spanning roughly from Mentone to Mornington and inland towards Dandenong.
Essential experience - having already worked as an NDIS Support Coordinator, an NDIS Planner or a Local Area Coordinator.
You will possess high level interpersonal skills, a commitment to providing great customer service and a knowledge of networks in the southern NDIS region. Whilst management support is only a phone call away, this role best suits someone who can work relatively independently as you would be working from home for the majority of the week.
Relevant qualifications, police check less than 12 months old or willingness to get one, working with children check and your own reliable transport (mileage will be paid) are also essential.
You will receive a pro rata salary of approximately $69,000 plus super, a laptop and mobile phone. There may be opportunities to advance into a leadership role as the team in this region grows, with commensurate salary.
Whilst ideally, we are looking for a candidate wanting to work 4 days per week, if you meet all requirements and prefer 5 days or 3 days per week please let me know as the days may be negotiated for the right person.
