RN - COVID Mobile Infection Control & Prevention Team

About the role

Working with a leading government health care agency, and using your expertise in Infection Prevention and Control, you will be responsible for working with Mobile Infection Prevention and Control / Outbreak Squad / Contact Tracing teams of nurses during the COVID pandemic. Also part of this key role will be on-site visits and development of proactive infection prevention plans and protocols for high risk settings and workplaces.

The workplace

This is an opportunity to work with the fast moving and dedicated Rapid Response teams, based in Melbourne's CBD and on-site at workplaces /schools etc where a COVID outbreak occurs or is at high risk of occurance, putting plans in place. You will need to be a self starter who is familiar with on-site project roles, and be available to work full time ( four days per week is an option), Monday to Friday, starting ASAP, for an initial three month period, with the possibility of extending up to an eight month period. There is some scope for weekend work by choice.

About you

To apply for this role, you will need to have a solid (minimum) five years of clinical nursing experience, with either post graduate qualifications in infection prevention/control or public health and demonstrated experience working within outbreak / infection control specific roles. A current registration with AHPRA and a current Police check and drivers licence is essential, as it the ability to work across different sites, and be able to self-manage your time/day. You will need to have high level communication skills, both oral and written. You will be required to commit to a full time role for the next 3 - 12 months and be able to commence in the role within the next two weeks. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to make a real difference in a very impactful way, working with teams across the state to ensure public and community safety during the COVID pandemic.
