THE ROLE:

The position of Clinical Program Manager supports the Assistant Director Clinical Operations by contributing to improvements in the quality, safety and distribution of clinical services. The Clinical Program Manager provides clinical advice and supports the clinical leadership, professional development, and clinical governance of the clinical teams.

THE DUTIES:

Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary clinical team to support the provision of clinical services in accordance with clinical policy and applicable governance standards. Ensure the maintenance of clinical records. collating and analysing data from client records and preparing reports as required to assist in evaluating and improving service delivery.

Under the direction of the Assistant Director Clinical Operations, maintain an active supporting role with the day-to-day in-centre clinical activities including routine case allocations, supporting clinicians with care planning, case reviews and risk assessments.

Work with key internal and external stakeholders to influence a recovery approach to service delivery within a stepped care model for vulnerable or at-risk communities and families, in accordance with policy and procedure. Participate in internal and external meetings as directed.

Participate in the programs evaluation and research activities, contribute to project management activities that implement strategic direction and quality improvement recommendations, and provide feedback for ongoing development of clinical policies and procedures, particularly in relation to case management development activities.

MANDATORY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Qualifications must be that of an accredited health profession or social worker.
  • Qualified health professionals must have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA).
  • Social workers must be registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Preference is for mental health professionals including Clinical Psychologists, Psychologists, Mental Health Social Workers or Mental Health Occupational Therapists.
  • Working with Children (WWC) and/or Vulnerable People Checks/Clearance must be obtained prior to commencement.
  • Health professionals and social workers must have extensive clinical and relevant management experience.
