The City of Greater Geelong is a vibrant growing city, with over 250,000 residents and annual revenue of over $480M. Already one of Australia's largest Councils, now one of the fastest growing, the City is busy planning to welcome another 150,000 people by 2036.

The Manager Engineering Services provides leadership and manages the development of the City's infrastructure asset management systems as well as the formulation and implementation of asset maintenance and civil infrastructure capital works programs. The Manager will effectively manage Engineering Services and deliver best practice and customer focused services in an environment that encourages positive outcomes. As a key people leader, the Manger is accountable for providing highly effective leadership to all members of the Department, ensuring they role model Council values to the highest level.

This role will see you take control of a significant team of over 100 staff who deliver a broad range of services including subdivisions, asset management, civil infrastructure capital works and engineering service. This is a complex division which requires an engaging and inclusive leader who can drive a customer first ethos through the team to deliver for our community.

This is a critical leadership appointment that will give you the opportunity to work closely with senior managers from across the business as well as community and industry stakeholders.
